Located on the island of Okinawa, in a town called Yomitan, southern Japan. The climate is subtropical Okinawa and temperatures rarely drop below 15 degrees. Okinawa is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea. This positioning allows to collect virtually any waves. Only there are 2 sand beach breaks, the rest is reef. Coral reefs surrounding the island are considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

The professional surfer Danny Melhado this Surfcamp founded in 2002 after falling in love with Japanese waves. Happy Surfing in Okinawa offer surfing lessons, Stand Up Paddle and surf guide services, in addition to import and sell some of the best tables on the island. The coast of Okinawa is known for its perfect tubes and hollow glass. It is ideal for surfers with some experience. Summer and early autumn typhoons bring high tides, although winter is also a good time because the waves are more consistent. On the island there are many secret beaches that are not even on the maps. The hostel is located in Yomitan, an area famous for pottery, so if you need a break you can wander through the villages of ceramics and natural ovens. It Accommodates 7 people and has living room and kitchen sharing.
