Peste Surfcamp, situated in the vibrant city of Porto, Portugal, is a renowned surf school with a rich history. Founded by Luis Bessa, an avid surfer since 1990 turned instructor from 2004, the camp stands out as one of the oldest surf schools in the country. The team, consisting of qualified surf, kite, and stand-up paddle instructors, also holds certifications as lifeguards and school teachers, showcasing their extensive experience and dedication.

The Surf Hostel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the beach. Housed in a large villa that underwent renovations in 2010, the hostel offers a fantastic environment for making new friends, enjoying surfing, and relaxing in a familial atmosphere. The surrounding area boasts 60 kilometers of surf spots catering to various skill levels, providing waves with or without crowds. Guests can explore affordable or upscale restaurants and bars to savor good food and drinks while witnessing picturesque sunsets. The hostel is known for its weekly parties, creating a lively atmosphere filled with friendly people.

Luis Bessa, the owner, has been deeply involved in surfing since 1990 and teaching since 2004. The qualified team, well-versed in surf, kite, and stand-up paddle, along with certifications as lifeguards and school teachers, is always prepared to offer assistance.

The hostel, originally an old family house, features four shared rooms with two bathrooms and two double rooms equipped with a private bathroom, TV, and DVD on the first floor. The house boasts a spacious dining/seating room with an inviting open fireplace. Additionally, there is a large room with a bar for enjoying music, surf movies, or socializing with other guests over wine or beer. The garden offers a pleasant space to bask in the sunshine and breathe in fresh air.

Guests have access to a well-equipped kitchen where meals can be prepared. Fridays are special with BBQ gatherings, inviting everyone to join the festivities.
