Baleal Surf Camp, situated on the Peniche Peninsula within the scenic western region of Portugal, offers a unique and personalized surf experience. A mere 5-minute stroll from the Cantinho da Baía Surf Center, strategically positioned above the beach, emphasizes the camp's commitment to providing proximity between accommodation and the ocean—an essential consideration for those seeking an immersive surf vacation.
Distinguished as a small family-run enterprise, Baleal Surf Camp is under the careful management of two brothers deeply rooted in the vital energy of the ocean and its waves. Natives of Baleal Beach, their connection with the sea led to the establishment of the first Portuguese Surf Camp in 1993. This endeavor seamlessly blends their coastal lifestyle with their passion for surfing, creating a haven where they not only reside but also thrive in their professional calling.
The ethos of Baleal Surf Camp revolves around the art of teaching individuals to surf and facilitating an unforgettable experience. Their primary objective, a source of daily motivation, is to guide students through a personalized class system. This tailored approach ensures that each guest extracts the utmost from their stay, crafting a unique and unrepeatable surfing encounter.
For those aspiring to master the art of surfing within a week, Baleal Surf Camp stands as a beacon of possibility. As for accomodations, Baleal Surf Camp offers two types:
Baleal Hostel: a mere 100m from the beach and our Surf Centre, this stay embodies the essence of surfer-friendly accommodation, ideally positioned within strolling distance of numerous surf spots in the Baleal and Peniche area. Notably, the reception for Baleal's Surf Camp is seamlessly integrated into this vibrant locale.
Tailored to the preferences of young, easy-going individuals who value social interactions, the hostel boasts four rooms. These rooms feature thoughtfully arranged bunks accommodating 2, 3, 4, and 5 guests, with single beds nestled in the loft room (mixed dorm). Offering practicality, the hostel provides three showers and toilet facilities, alongside a communal kitchen and dining room. With a maximum capacity of 14 guests, Baleal Hostel creates an intimate and convivial environment.
The well-appointed kitchen is equipped with modern conveniences, including a dishwasher, microwave, water kettle, toaster, stove, oven, and mixer. Adjacent to the kitchen, a charming outdoor terrace adorned with wooden tables offers picturesque views of the Peniche Bay. This tranquil setting becomes the preferred spot for our guests to enjoy most of their meals in a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.
Private apartments: There are five different appartments, all within walking distance of the beach. They include: one bedroom with two single beds, bathroom, kitchen, living room and the chance of adding one or two extra beds if necessary. Hand & shower towels, bed linen and blankets, equipped kichten for self catering, free internet access, cleaning of the apartment every two days.
