It is within the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, a natural space formed by large marshes and 12 km of extensive sands that serve as a shelter to thousands of migratory birds. Despite being a fairly small town, Mundaka is famous internationally for its southweight scene. Mundaka's wave is considered one of the best left in the world, with a length that can reach 400 meters. The town receives in autumn and winter the visit of numerous surfers from all continents. Every year he hosts international competitions in its waters. Mundaka Surf Club was founded in 1987 to cover the numerous surfers who approached Mundaka to surf their famous wave. In your surf courses you can learn from the basic principles to the most radical maneuvers. All its instructors are experienced surfers who know perfectly the characteristics of the waves of Mundaka. The classes break in the laida area and in low tide preferably. It has a duration of 2 hours and are in groups of 5 students to guarantee safety and guardianship learning. You can get a member of your club and have access to its facilities in the port of Mundaka, with access to water through a ramp and a wide area to stretch and train. Mundaka is a small and lovely town centered around the fishing port. The port is also the most picturesque corner of the town and it is also where the locals gather and spend time, whether next to the water, in the park, in the pediment or in one of the bars in the area.
